Mortal Engines (Predator Cities #1)

By Philip Reeve

This book was pushed towards me by my intermediate teacher this year. I was reluctant at first, but I soon polished off it and two others in the series. I am currently reading number 4 in the series. I have thoroughly enjoyed the plot, the characters, and the world it's set in. If you haven't read this series, I suggest it with great enthusiasm.

Synopsis

In the distant future, cities on wheels fight each other for survival. As London pursues a small town, young apprentice Tom is flung out into the wastelands, where a terrifying cyborg begins to hunt him down.

Author

  • Predator's Gold (2003)
